Children and Youth
Children, youth, and their families are an important part of the Saskatoon Unitarians community. We welcome all kinds of families and children, and work to foster an environment where individuals can safely explore who they are and how they belong in our world. We’d love to meet you!
At present, we do not offer any special programming for children or youth, but we are eager to rebuild our family ministry post-pandemic. We have offered a variety of programs and activities in the past, depending on the ages, needs, and interests of the families in the congregation, including:
- Sunday morning classes or play sessions for kids, so parents can attend the service
- Family activities on Sunday mornings and other times
- Justice Makers, a program for tweens to have fun, build community, and learn about themselves and the world by engaging in service- and justice-oriented projects
- Junior and Senior Youth Groups for teens
- Our Whole Lives, a progressive, lifespan sexuality program, based on principles of self-worth, sexual health, responsibility, justice, and inclusivity
If you are interested in helping with or being part of some kind of programming for children, youth and/or families, please let us know! For now, all ages are welcome to attend Sunday services, check out our puzzle and art table at the back of the sanctuary.
