Karen serves Saskatoon Unitarians as their parish minister while also studying part time for a Diploma in Art Therapy. She lives on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis with her partner, musician and music teacher Paul Gitlitz. As a treaty relative and a descendant of English, Scottish and French settlers, Karen is learning about her responsibilities as a guest on this land. Karen expresses her belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and our collective responsibility for social, economic, and environmental justice in both her ministry and her art making.

Each day we come together is a new day, full of promise, full of hope, full of the history of many days past.
Each day we come together we create the story of coming together, again, and we are the work of love, renewed.
